Custom Fridge Magnet Printing for Your Artwork
Fridge magnet printing turns your logo, artwork or photograph into a printed magnetic product. The image is printed onto the face layer, then bonded to the magnetic backing, so the printable surface and the magnet structure are specified together.
Fridge magnet printing is the step that turns a flat file — a logo, an illustration, a product photograph or a campaign graphic — into a finished magnet. The artwork is printed onto the face layer of the magnet, then combined with the magnetic base, so the printed surface, the magnet body and the finish are decided as one specification rather than three separate purchases.
We provide this service for promotional product distributors, souvenir and gift retailers, museums and attractions, corporate marketing teams, e-commerce sellers and organizations running campaigns. Some arrive with print-ready vector files and a fixed quantity; others arrive with a photograph and a rough idea of size. Both are workable starts.
Because the face material governs which printing method will hold up, we review the artwork before recommending anything. Send us your artwork and requirements, and we can help determine a suitable printing method based on your magnet material, design, quantity and finish.
Who We Work With
We print for businesses that buy magnets in quantity and resell, distribute or give them away. Each buyer type below comes with a different set of requirements on volume, compliance, lead time and packaging.
Promo Product Distributors
Need repeatable quality across reorders and mixed‑design runs. Usually order 1,000–20,000 pieces per campaign, need standard OPP or backing‑card packing, and prioritize unit cost tiers and on‑time warehouse delivery.
Souvenir & Gift Retailers
Buy city, landmark and cultural series in 300–5,000 piece runs. Need retail-ready packaging, barcodes on the backing card, and colour consistency across a series so all designs in the set look like one collection.
Museums & Attractions
Reproduce exhibit artwork and photography with accurate colour. Orders are usually 500–3,000 pieces with gift-box or backing-card packing, and they often need documentation of materials before approval.
Corporate Brand Marketing Teams
Order branded magnets for launches, mailers and client gifts, typically 500–10,000 pieces. Need Pantone‑matched brand colour, pre‑production proofing, and firm delivery tied to a campaign.
E-commerce Sellers & Amazon Brands
Run many designs in small batches, often 100–500 pieces per design. Need fast turnaround, individual poly-bag packing, and photo-accurate colour so the listing matches the physical product.
Schools, Churches & Non-profits
Order 200–2,000 pieces for fundraising and events on a fixed budget. Need low minimums, simple artwork support, and safe materials and packaging where items are handled by children.
Fridge Magnet Printing Features & Benefits
Six capabilities describe what the service actually does. Each one is written as feature, then benefit, then the outcome you get — because “high quality and good price” tells a buyer nothing they can check.
01
Full-Color Custom Printing
Photographs, gradients and multi-colour logos print in full colour with no per-colour surcharge, so complex artwork costs the same as simple artwork.
Outcome: your design prints as drawn, not cost-engineered down.
02
Multiple Printing Options
UV, digital and offset are available, and we match the method to your magnet material, quantity and finish rather than forcing one process onto every job.
Outcome: the print method fits the job instead of limiting it.
03
Artwork-Based Production
Production runs from your supplied file, with a pre-press review that flags resolution, colour mode and bleed problems before anything is printed.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
04
Color Control
Colors are referenced to Pantone or CMYK values and, where the project calls for it, a physical proof is produced for approval before the bulk run starts.
Outcome: the bulk order matches the sample you signed off.
05
Multiple Design Options
Series and sets — six city designs, four characters, a full product line — can be produced in one run with shared materials so the set reads as one collection.
Outcome: you launch a series, not a one-off.
06
Custom Finishing & Packaging
Finishing and packing are specified with the print job: OPP bags, poly bag plus white box, backing card with hang hole, or gift box with ribbon.
Outcome: goods arrive shelf-ready, not as loose pieces.
Fridge Magnet Printing Methods
Three printing methods are used, and the right one depends on the magnet material, the quantity and how tight the deadline is. None of them is universally better — they solve different problems.
Percetakan UV
Best for: acrylic, PVC, metal
UV printing lays ink directly onto flat acrylic, PVC and metal faces and cures it instantly. Colour is saturated, fine detail holds, and it can build a thick ink layer for a domed look or apply spot gloss over selected areas. Well suited to small and mid-sized runs with several artwork versions.
Cetakan Digital
Best for: small runs, tight deadlines
Digital printing needs no plates, so short runs, many different artworks and urgent schedules all work economically. It is also the practical choice for variable data — different names, codes or numbering on each piece — because each print can differ without stopping the press.
Cetakan Ofset
Best for: large runs, paper-based
Offset printing suits large quantities on paper and laminated paper faces. Setup cost is spread across the run, so unit cost falls as volume rises, and colour stays stable across tens of thousands of pieces. It is the usual answer for high-volume promotional distribution.
Fridge Magnet Printing — Technical Specifications
The table below gives typical printable ranges by face material. Values are working ranges used for quotation, not fixed limits — final specifications are confirmed after we review your artwork and product structure.
| Bahan | Common Sizes | Ketebalan | Printing Method | MOQ biasa | Packaging Options |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paper / laminated | 50 × 50 mm to 100 × 150 mm | 0.5 to 1.5 mm | Offset, Digital | 100 pcs | OPP bag, backing card |
| PVC soft rubber | 40 × 40 mm to 90 × 90 mm | 2 to 4 mm | UV, Digital | 100 to 300 pcs | OPP bag, poly bag + box |
| Akrilik | 40 × 40 mm to 100 × 100 mm | 2 to 5 mm | UV, Digital | 100 to 300 pcs | Backing card, gift box |
| Metal (lacquer / enamel) | 25 × 25 mm to 80 × 80 mm | 1.2 to 3 mm | UV, Offset | 100 pcs | Poly bag + box, gift box |
| Epoxy / domed | 30 × 30 mm to 80 × 80 mm | 3 to 6 mm | UV, Digital | 100 pcs | Backing card, gift box |
| Rubber magnet | 50 × 70 mm to 100 × 150 mm | 0.4 to 1.5 mm | Digital, Offset | 100 pcs | Bulk OPP, backing card |
Sizes outside these ranges and custom die-cut shapes are quoted case by case, because the shape affects both the tooling and the printing approach. Where a magnet needs a specific structure, thickness or magnet grade, those details sit with the product build rather than the print run — see Magnet Peti Sejuk Tempahan for the manufacturing side.
Color Matching & Printing Quality Control
Color on a magnet is controlled through four steps: artwork review, a defined colour reference, proofing where the project calls for it, and production against the approved sample. The aim is to reduce the risk of visible deviation, not to promise none.
The most common question from brand buyers is how close the printed magnet will be to their brand colour. Four steps control that.
First, Semakan Reka Bentuk: we check file size, resolution, colour mode and bleed before anything goes to print, and flag anything that will not reproduce.
Second, Colour Reference: brand colours are supplied as Pantone references or defined CMYK values, so both sides work from the same numbers rather than a screen impression.
Third, Proofing: for projects where it applies, a physical proof is produced — typically 5–7 working days — so you can hold the actual printed surface before the bulk run.
Fourth, Production Consistency: the bulk run is produced against the approved sample, with in-process checks on colour, registration and surface finish.
No printer can honestly claim a perfect match across different materials, because ink sits differently on acrylic, metal and paper. What we do is reduce the risk of visible deviation by fixing the reference early, proving it physically, and then holding the run to that approved standard.
Fridge Magnet Printing Artwork Requirements
Send vector files where possible, high-resolution raster where not, and tell us the size, quantity, magnet type and packaging. That is enough for us to check printability and quote — most artwork problems are caught at this stage, not during production.
Supplying files in the right format is the single fastest way to shorten a project. Vector files keep text and edges sharp at any size; raster files need enough resolution to survive being printed at final size. Colour mode matters too, because a file built for screen and a file built for print are not the same thing.
- Vector preferred: AI, PDF or EPS, with all text converted to outlines.
- Raster accepted: JPG or PNG at 300 dpi, supplied at 1:1 print size.
- Colour mode: CMYK. For brand colours, give us the Pantone reference as well.
- Bleed and safe margin: we advise the exact values after confirming the product size, so the numbers match the actual die-cut.
- Also tell us: finished size, quantity, magnet type and packaging format.
- Finishing to confirm: matte, gloss or epoxy domed, and whether the order is one design or a series.
If your file is not print-ready, we will tell you what needs changing rather than rejecting it. We do not claim every file can be printed as supplied — some artwork needs redrawing, and it is better to know that on day one.
Not sure if your artwork is print-ready? Send it over and we will check it.
Common Artwork Issues and How to Fix Them
Most rejected artwork fails for one of six reasons. Each is listed as the problem, what happens if it goes to print anyway, and the fix — so you can correct the file before it reaches us.
- Resolution too low. A 72 dpi web image enlarged to print size turns soft and pixelated. Fix: supply the original file at 300 dpi at final print size.
- RGB not converted to CMYK. Screen colours print differently; bright blues and greens usually shift most. Fix: convert to CMYK and give a Pantone reference for brand colours.
- Text not converted to outlines. Missing fonts cause substituted or broken characters. Fix: convert all text to outlines or curves before saving.
- Insufficient bleed or safe margin. Cutting tolerance can clip content sitting at the edge. Fix: keep text and logos inside the safe area; we confirm bleed after size is set.
- Raster artwork scaled up for a large format. Enlarging a small bitmap degrades detail no matter the printer. Fix: have the artwork redrawn as vector.
- Spot colours not specified. Without a Pantone reference, brand colour is matched by eye and drifts. Fix: state the Pantone number for every brand colour in the artwork.
Applications of Custom Fridge Magnet Printing
Printed magnets are used across six main applications. Each one has different expectations on colour, minimum quantity, packaging and lead time, and the print specification follows from that.
01
Brand Promotion
Logo magnets for product launches, direct mail and giveaways. Brand colour accuracy matters most here, so Pantone references and proofing are standard, and quantities usually start at 500 pieces.
02
Retail Merchandise
Magnets produced to sell on a shelf, in 300–5,000 piece runs. Retail-ready packing — backing card with hang hole or poly bag plus white box — is usually part of the same order.
03
Tourism & Souvenirs
City, landmark and regional series sold in tourist shops and airport stores. Souvenir series often run 6–12 designs in one production batch so the whole set shares colour and finish.
04
Museums & Attractions
Exhibition artwork and collection photography reproduced for gift shops. Colour fidelity to the original piece is the priority, and gift-box packing is common for higher price points.
05
Events & Campaigns
Short-run magnets for fundraisers, conferences, school and alumni programmes, and church events. Deadlines are fixed, so digital printing and simple packing keep the schedule tight.
06
Corporate Gifts
Client and employee gifts, often 500–10,000 pieces with gift box and ribbon. Real estate and insurance agencies use these for annual mailers, so reorder consistency year over year matters.

Our Fridge Magnet Printing Capabilities
These are the five things we do on a printing project. Anything involving how the magnet body itself is made — tooling, plating, enamel filling, doming — sits with the product build rather than the print run.
01
Semakan Reka Bentuk
We check file format, resolution, colour mode and trim before quoting, and tell you what needs fixing, so problems surface before production, not after.
02
Print Method Selection
UV, digital or offset is recommended against your material, quantity and deadline, with the reasoning explained so you can see why that method was chosen.
03
Color & Proofing
Colors are referenced to Pantone or CMYK, and physical proofs are produced for applicable projects — typically 5–7 working days — before the bulk run starts.
04
Multi-Design Production
Series and sets of several artworks run in one production batch on shared materials, so a six-design collection holds consistent colour across every piece.
05
Saiz dan Bentuk Tempahan
Non‑standard sizes & die‑cut shapes are printable, quoted case‑by‑case. Structure, tooling & magnet grade are covered on the Custom Refrigerator Magnets page.
From Artwork to Finished Magnets — Process, Timeline and Shipping
Six steps take a project from file to delivered cartons. Durations below are typical for standard specifications; peak season (September to November) extends them, and we confirm the actual schedule with your quote.
| Langkah | Apa yang berlaku | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Artwork review | File and printability check covering format, resolution, colour mode, trim, and confirmation of size and quantity | 1 working day |
| 2. Quotation | Price and specification confirmed, including material, printing method, finishing and packaging | 1 to 2 working days |
| 3. Proofing | Physical proof produced for approval where the project calls for it | 5 to 7 working days |
| 4. Mass production | Bulk run against the approved proof, with in-process checks | 7-10 days |
| 5. QC and packing | Final inspection against the approved sample, then packing to the agreed format | 2 to 4 days |
| 6. Shipping | Express, air or sea, selected by destination and how soon you need the goods | By destination and service |
Two things move the schedule more than anything else: how quickly artwork is approved, and when in the year the order falls. Peak season runs from September to November, and during those months both proofing and production slots are tighter, so the whole schedule extends. We flag this at quotation rather than after you order.
Payment is T/T, 30% deposit with 70% balance before shipment. Shipping terms — FOB, CIF or DDP — are agreed per order. We do not quote customs clearance times, because those depend on the destination and are outside our control; what we can tell you is when the goods leave our facility and which service carries them.
Quality Control and Product Compliance
Inspection runs in four stages against the approved sample. Compliance is handled by target market — we discuss what your market requires and work to documented certificates rather than claiming standards we have not obtained.
Quality control follows four checkpoints. Incoming material check confirms face stock, magnet material and finish before production starts. First-piece approval signs off the first units off the line against the approved proof. In-process inspection samples the run while it is running, not only at the end. Pemeriksaan akhir checks colour, size, print registration and magnetic strength against the confirmed sample before cartons are sealed.
Compliance depends on where the product is sold and who uses it. The standards that typically come up are:
- EN71 — toy safety, relevant where magnets are sold as children's items in the EU.
- RoHS / REACH — chemical substance restrictions for the EU market.
- CPSIA — US children's product safety, where applicable.
- Magnet safety and packaging labelling — warnings and markings required by the destination market.
Compliance requirements can be discussed according to the target market and product application. Where a specific certificate is needed, we work to the actual documentation rather than a general claim — if we have not obtained it, we will say so and tell you what testing is required.
Packaging and Retail-Ready Options
Five packing formats are available, from bulk poly bags to barcoded retail cards. The right one depends on whether the magnets are handed out, sold on a shelf, or given as a gift.
Bulk Clear OPP Bag Packaging
The lowest-cost option, magnets packed together in a clear bag. Fits promotional handouts and mailer inserts where individual presentation is not needed.
Poly Bag + White Box
Each magnet in its own poly bag inside a plain white box. The standard base for retail and e-commerce fulfilment, and the usual choice for online sellers.
Backing Card + Hang Hole
Magnet mounted on a printed card with a euro hole for hanging display. Built for supermarket and gift shop shelving where the product hangs on a rail.
Premium Gift Box + Satin Ribbon
Rigid or kraft gift box with ribbon, sometimes with a display easel panel. Used for museum shops, corporate gifts and higher price-point souvenirs.
Barcode / Labelling
Barcode and label application handled to your specification, subject to confirmation of your numbering format and where the label sits on the pack.
Printing can be combined with suitable packaging so the product arrives ready for retail or distribution, rather than as loose pieces that need repacking at your end.
What Affects Fridge Magnet Printing Cost
We do not publish a price list, because print cost moves with specification. What we can do is show the eight factors that set the price, and the seven details to send so the quote you get back is accurate.
1. Quantity
Unit cost falls in steps as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
2. Size & Shape
Larger pieces use more material; custom die-cut shapes may need tooling, which changes the setup cost.
3. Material
Paper-laminated, PVC, acrylic, metal and epoxy faces each carry a different base cost before printing.
4. Printing Method & Colour Count
UV, digital and offset price differently, and spot colours add to a standard four-colour build.
5. Finishing
Surface treatments such as matte or gloss lamination and epoxy doming add a step and a cost per piece.
6. Packaging
Bulk bagging costs least; backing cards, white boxes and gift boxes add material and labour per unit.
7. Lead Time
Rush orders displace scheduled production, so a tighter deadline than standard carries a surcharge.
8. Shipping Destination
Freight depends on destination country, chosen service and shipment weight and volume.
Why Choose Huasan Custom for Fridge Magnet Printing?
Because printing a magnet is not the same as printing a sheet. The printed face has to bond to a magnet body, survive handling and still look right on a fridge door — that is where a magnet manufacturer differs from a general printer.
One Supplier From Artwork to Finished Product
Artwork review, printing, assembly and packing sit under one project contact. You are not chasing a printer who blames the magnet supplier and a supplier who blames the printer.
Printing + Product Manufacturing
The printed face and the magnet body are specified together, so ink adhesion, surface finish and magnet strength are resolved as one problem instead of two separate ones handed across a gap.
Custom Orders for Different Business Needs
A 100-piece test run for an e-commerce brand and a 20,000-piece distribution order are different jobs. Both run through the same process, scaled to what the order actually needs.
Direct Communication
You speak to the people reviewing your artwork and running your job, not a ticket queue. Questions about colour, files or scheduling get answered by someone who can see the job.
Kawalan Kualiti
Four inspection stages — incoming, first piece, in-process and final — all measured against the sample you approved, so the standard is a physical reference rather than a promise.
Flexible MOQ & Easy Scaling
Start with a small test run or move straight into bulk production. The same workflow and tooling are used across quantities, so scaling up does not mean starting over.
Why Work With a Fridge Magnet Manufacturer for Printing?
A general print shop and a magnet manufacturer solve different parts of the same problem. This is the practical difference when you are buying, not a claim that one is better in the abstract.
| Comparison point | General print shop | Fridge magnet manufacturer |
|---|---|---|
| Core focus | Focuses mainly on printing | Coordinates printing with product construction |
| Product knowledge | Limited product knowledge | Understands magnet materials and structures |
| Sourcing | A separate product supplier may be needed | Product and printing are coordinated in one project |
| Komunikasi | More supplier communication | One project contact |
| Spesifikasi | Printing specifications only | Artwork, magnet and packaging requirements |
For buyers who need both the magnet product and the printed graphics, coordinating both with one manufacturer reduces communication overhead and specification risk.

Fridge Magnet Printing FAQ
What is the MOQ for fridge magnet printing?
Typical minimums run 100–200 pieces for standard designs on PVC and acrylic. Custom die-cut shapes usually start at 300–500 pieces because of tooling, and premium processes such as epoxy doming often start at 500+. Stock shapes may allow smaller test runs — ask with your design.
Can you print custom die-cut shapes, and is there a tooling fee?
Yes. Shapes outside standard squares and circles are die-cut to your outline. Non-standard shapes usually carry a one-off tooling charge, and where the order reaches an agreed volume that charge can be offset against the order — we confirm the exact figure and the offset rule in writing before you approve the proof.
What are your payment terms?
Standard terms are T/T, 30% deposit to start the order and 70% balance before shipment. For repeat customers and long-running programmes other arrangements can be discussed. Shipping terms — FOB, CIF or DDP — are agreed per order.
How much does fridge magnet printing cost per piece?
Unit price depends on quantity, size, material, printing method, finishing, packaging, lead time and destination, so we quote per project rather than publishing a price list. Tell us those eight details and we will price it accurately.
Which file formats do you accept?
Vector is preferred: AI, PDF or EPS with text converted to outlines. High-resolution raster — JPG or PNG at 300 dpi at 1:1 print size — is also accepted. Supply CMYK, and give Pantone references for brand colours.
Can you match my brand colour exactly?
We reference your brand colours to Pantone or defined CMYK values and proof before production to reduce the risk of visible deviation. No printer can guarantee a perfect match across different materials, because ink sits differently on acrylic, metal and paper.
How long does proofing take?
A physical proof is typically produced in 5–7 working days for applicable projects. Bulk production follows after you approve the proof, and runs 7-10 days for standard specifications.
What is the lead time for a bulk order?
Mass production is 7-10 days after proof approval, plus packing and shipping time by destination. During peak season, September to November, the whole schedule extends, and we confirm the actual dates with your quote.
Do you provide samples before I order?
Yes. For applicable projects we produce a proof before the bulk run. If you want to see existing work first, we can also send samples of comparable jobs so you can judge print quality and finish.
What printing method will you use for my order?
We recommend UV, digital or offset based on your magnet material, quantity, colour requirements and deadline, and explain why. Available methods depend on the magnet construction and production requirements.
What packaging options are available?
Five standard formats: bulk OPP bag, individual poly bag plus white box, backing card with hang hole, gift box with ribbon, and barcode or labelling support subject to confirmation.
Can you sign an NDA and protect my design?
Yes. We are used to working under NDA for unreleased artwork and brand designs, and your files are used only for your project. Ask for our NDA or send yours and we will sign before you share files.
Can I reorder later, and do you keep my files?
Yes. We retain your artwork and confirmed specifications for reorders, typically for 12 months, so a repeat run does not start from scratch. Reorders cost less per unit because the setup and tooling already exist.
Can you match a sample from another supplier?
Often, yes. Send the physical sample and we will assess the material, construction and print method, then tell you what we can match and where a difference is likely. We will be direct about anything we cannot reproduce.
How is colour tolerance defined?
The approved physical proof is the reference standard for the bulk run. Colour is judged against that sample under consistent lighting, and in-process checks hold the run to it, rather than working to an abstract numeric tolerance.
Can you split shipment or deliver to multiple addresses?
Yes, split shipments and multi-address delivery can be arranged where the order quantity justifies it. Tell us the destinations and quantities at quotation so freight can be priced correctly.
