Woven Paracord Wrist Keychain with Aluminum D-Clip
A black anodized aluminum D-clip nylon wrist keychain. The cord is braided tightly into a flat braid. The upper end of the piece has a loop that is fastened around the wrist. The D-clip hanging at the bottom is made of aluminium and can be used for keys, a badge or a small pouch. Simple. Functional. Durable.

Cord colour matching
Standard 8 colours available. For larger orders, where it makes sense to use a dedicated dye run, a cord color matched with the Pantone is available. The nylon braid will adhere to the color well. Send us a physical colour check or a Pantone number and we will make up a swatch to approve before bulk.
Logo placement and engraving
On the clip face there is a flat surface which is the practical engraving surface and is known as the logo place. Best position for the logo is in the top third of the face where it hangs naturally, while in the hang position. A scale model of the desired logo design is created to check approval prior to engraving. Very fine detail and tight text must be reviewed at the actual size of engraving and not on screen.
D-clip vs carabiner gate
The standard clip on this product is a fixed gate D clip. It is opened by turning a collar (or pressing a lever) with a screw thread (or lever). If the short call requires one-hand opening, a carabiner clip with a spring gate is another option. State at the time of enquiry.
Wrist loop size
Standard size wrist loop is used for most adults. A larger or smaller loop is possible at the production stage. If the age group of the child's product is large or the target wrist size is larger, state this immediately and it is confirmed before sampling.

Q1: Does it last long enough to be used every day?
Yes, the paracord is 100% nylon. Yes, it's nylon paracord. The braid is a flat braid that is tight and even. Nylon is more resistant to moisture, UV and abrasion than cotton or polyester blends. A braid that is worn around the wrist daily for a few months won't look significantly different. The edges are trimmed off to avoid fraying. Color stability to normal handling.
Q2: Is the wrist loop adjustable? What if it's too tight or too loose?
The standard loop is a loop of a constant circumference. If an adjustable loop (sliding bead or buckle mechanism) can be accomplished, it will add cost and a component. If your customers have a bigger wrist range, you can make two sizes for a fixed loop, one standard adult, and another larger size. Indicate at sampling time.
Q3: What is the mass of the clip? Will it cause the wrist loop to hang down awkwardly?
The aluminum D-clip is light weight. The clip weight on the wrist is not felt when it is not loaded. Regular key set, the weight is about like a watch. Not a worry for everyday carrying. If the inquiry requires a sturdier clip material (s.s.), be sure to confirm if this is required at the inquiry stage, and we will find out if this is feasible.
Q4: Yes, the logo can be used on both the clip and the cord.
Standard: Clip face engraving. This isn't a cord with a logo as such. A printed label, or a woven-in brand tab on the cord is available as an added feature and is quoted separately. Most clients are using the clip face as this is the surface that is readable in use.
Q5: What is the smallest quantity that can be ordered? Can I start with samples?
Samples will be available prior to bulk commitment. Samples will take 3-5 working days from art approval. Bulk depends on the amount of customization required: stock cord color with logo, pantone cord color or custom clip shape. Submit an inquiry, we will provide you with a correct quote. We don't force our clients to buy more than they need.
Q6: Is the D-clip easily unclipped? Are there tools to attach and remove keys?
The D-clip gate is hand operated. Press and/or rotate the gate, pass key ring through, release. No tools. The gate is firm in its place and will not open by itself in a pocket or pouch. A spring-gate carabiner is a better option for a clip that will open and close more than a few times a day. It has a single hand operation which is easier than most D-clip gate styles.
