In real orders, zinc alloy with baked paint is the classic pairing for car keychains. It handles 3D shapes like car badges, turbos and shift knobs. And it keeps cost under control. That’s why it works so well for bulk gifts and promotional giveaways.

We hold 2,000+ ready molds. Many car models are already on the shelf. Pick a stock shape and skip the mold fee.

From Drawing to Delivery: 8 Steps
One factory runs the whole job. No middlemen and no hand-offs.

1.Design & 3D Proof
Send your artwork in any format, such as AI, PDF or a high-resolution image. Our engineers check the lines, then send a free 3D proof for your sign-off.

2.Mold Making
Our own mold shop cuts the steel tool by CNC to the approved shape. New tooling takes as little as 3 days, and we hold the mold for reorders.

3.Die Casting
Molten zinc alloy fills the mold in a single shot. This copies badges, grilles and body lines, with metal detail down to a 0.3 mm line.

4.Polishing
Trained hands grind and polish each piece. The surface comes out smooth and flat, so the plating sits evenly and the edges stay clean for a premium finish.

5.Electroplating
Pieces run through our plating line for gold, silver, nickel or antique finishes. You can also mix two tones on the same body for a custom look.

6.Color Filling
We fill each recess with Pantone-matched enamel, then bake it until it cures hard. Up to 12 filled areas, and the color holds in sun and rain.

7.Sample Check
We shoot real photos of your sample before the mass run. Bulk production starts only after you approve the shape, the colors and the hardware.

8.Packing
Each piece bags up in a clear OPP bag. Add a backing card, barcode label or retail box, and cartons ship DDP to your door.
Custom Car Keychain Applications
HUASAN custom car keychains sell well for auto gifts, vehicle-related promotions and car souvenirs.
01
Car dealerships
Give each person who buys a new car a key ring (printed with either your dealership's name/logo, or the name of the vehicle purchased). When existing customers return for routine maintenance or repairs, provide them with a key ring as well. This small gesture can make a big impression on your customers.
02
Tuning shops and auto parts markets
Merch under your own brand. Sell them, or add one to each tuning order. Theme them around the hot models, like the Tank, the Prado or JDM cars.
03
Car clubs
Welcome gifts for new members. Annual Meeting Gifts. Souvenirs for Year-Round Meet-ups & Road Trips. Club Only Editions as well.
04
Auto shows, races and car events
Gifts for booth QR scans or check-ins. Race team merch for F1, rally and more. Fan gifts, and handouts at new car launches.
05
Used car platforms and car rental companies
ID keychains for vehicle handovers, so fleets are easier to manage. One brand look across every key. Customers spot the right one at pickup and return.
08
Corp gift buyers
Order them for staff & long-term clients. Engrave a name or company logo, then hand out something people use every single day.

Car Keychain Questions, Answered
1. Can you make turbos, brake rotors, shift knobs and steering wheels? All those car shapes?
- Yes, all of them. Zinc alloy die-casting reproduces almost any mechanical car shape.
- Spinning turbo keychain: 25–35mm across. The blades actually spin on their own, they just turn.
- Brake rotor: 4–6mm thick. Drilled and vented rotors texture can be machined into the face.
- Shift knob: 6-speed or H-pattern gate engraved in base.
- Made to fit: 30–40mm diameter, 3-point or 6-point sporting forms of steering wheel.
- Half 3D shape to whole is around ¥1,500-3,500 for a mold. Flat 2D is roughly ¥800–1,500.
2. Zinc alloy or stainless steel? What's the difference?
- Zinc alloy: hardness around 85HB, about 25g per piece. It forms easily, so complex 3D relief is no problem. Corrosion resistance is good, but it needs a plating layer to protect it. Unit price $0.3–1.0. Engraved lines go down to 0.1mm. Around 90% of custom car keychains are made this way.
- Stainless steel (304): about 100HB, so 20% harder, and about 22g per piece. It’s stiffer, which suits flat or simple shapes. Chromium content is ≥10.5%, so it resists rust on its own. Unit price $0.8–2.0, or 60–100% more than zinc. Good for premium pieces and long-term outdoor use.
- Short version. Shaped and detailed, pick zinc alloy. Simple and built to take abuse, pick stainless steel.
3. Can you match my brand color (Pantone number)?
- Yes, both soft enamel and baked paint are available with Pantone Color Matching. Our allowable variance for these colors is less than five percent.
- Soft enamel: saturated color. It reproduces Pantone Solid Coated references.
- Baked paint is a smooth surface that works well with gradient colors and large sections of solid color.
- Plating colors were chosen from a standard color card. Bright gold, gunmetal, antique bronze and many other colors were included in the selection.
- Provide us with your Pantone color number. We will then create a custom mix of that color, provide you with a sample of that custom mix to approve, and when we begin the bulk production, the bulk product will match the approved sample.
4. I want a keychain of a specific car brand's badge. Can you copy it 1:1?
- The shape, yes. Zinc alloy die-casting holds 0.1mm accuracy, so badge outlines, lettering and proportions all copy over 1:1.
- Copyright is the catch. Licensed marques like Chevrolet, BMW or Toyota need an authorization letter from your side. Without one, we can only build similar-style or generic vehicle designs. A registered trademark we won’t copy outright.
- No copyright risk: generic car outlines, JDM silhouettes, turbo and brake rotor shapes, other mechanical designs. Those are open for free customization.
5. 3D badges versus flat badges. Is the difference that noticeable?
Die-casting copies headlights, badges and body lines. The thinnest line runs about 0.2 mm. Send your drawing and we check the shape before we cut the mold.
6. For fleet number keychains, should the number be laser engraved or cast in?
- Flat 2D: 2-3 mm thick, even surface with a recessed area of color filling. This type of nameplate reads well from a distance but lacks detail at close range. Mold cost range: ¥800-1,500. Low per unit cost.
- The thickness of 3D relief ranges from 5 to 8 mm. This provides a sense of weight to the item, as well as a feeling of depth. Additionally, light and shadows created by the relief provide the piece with an actual presence that is perceived as high quality. The mold fee for this type of product is approximately ¥1,500–¥3,500. The price per unit for this type of product is typically 30–50% higher than that of a flat product.
- Our suggestion: dealership handover gifts and brand gifts, go 3D relief. High-volume event giveaways, go flat 2D.
7. For dealership handovers, does metal or leather look more premium?
- Metal (zinc alloy): $0.5–1.5. Cold, firm, substantial in the hand. Suits luxury and performance brands. The plating resists wear and holds color for 1–2 years. First pick for mainstream models and tuning brands.
- Leather (PU or top-grain cowhide): $0.6–2.0, with real leather at the top of that range. Warm and soft to hold. Suits luxury brands and a business positioning. Real leather gains character the longer it’s used. PU cracks after long use.
- Our suggestion: for volume models, metal zinc alloy gives the better value on a handover gift. For luxury brands, pair top-grain cowhide with a metal badge.
8. I want JDM styles like the Nissan GT-R or Toyota Supra. Do you have existing molds?
- We do. There are over a hundred car-theme molds already cut here. Popular JDM shapes cover the GT-R, in R35 and R34 outlines, the Supra (A80) and the AE86. Turbo, brake caliper, shift knob and JDM license plate frame designs are in there too.
- With an existing mold you only swap the logo and change the colors. No mold fee. Samples take 5 days, bulk takes 15. Send us your reference picture and we’ll check it against what we have.
9. Which clasp works best? Lobster clasp, D-ring or carabiner?
- Lobster clasp: 10–25mm wide, spring-loaded. The most common one, and easy to clip on and off. Standard on 90% of car keychains.
- D-ring: 16–32mm inner diameter, paired with a leather cord or wrist strap. Clean and plain. Suits leather and business styles.
- Carabiner: 25–35mm long, aluminum or zinc alloy, clips onto a backpack. Popular with EDC users, fleets and outdoor buyers.
- Swivel clasp with split ring: the ring is 25–30mm across and turns 360°, so nothing tangles. Good for smart car keys, and it won’t scratch.
- For car keys we suggest a 25mm lobster clasp with a swivel split ring. It hooks onto a key pouch and keeps the key fob from getting scratched.
10. Which is more popular on metal car keychains: bright gold, gunmetal or antique bronze?
- Bright gold and bright silver: classic, businesslike, premium. Around 40% of orders year after year. Works for mainstream and luxury brands alike.
- Gunmetal: modern, technical, sporty. The fastest riser, around 30%. Suits EV, tuning and performance cars.
- Antique bronze and antique silver: retro heritage look, around 20%. Good for classic cars and American muscle.
- Rose gold: fashion-led and feminine, around 10%. Suits women drivers and gift programs.
- One trend worth knowing: gunmetal and matte black have climbed noticeably in Europe and the US over the last two years. The pull comes mostly from younger drivers and tuning culture. Domestic dealership handover gifts still lean bright gold and bright silver.
